Which one would you CHOOSE!?

Look for outside scholarships too if u want UD. U may never know. U should also go down to UD and talk personally with the admin/finaid. My friend once told me tht her brother got only 50% tuition scholarship to FDU but whn he went down personally for a visit, they liked him so much they gave him a full ride! Give it a shot!

These schools are very comparable in reputation, but not at all comparable in cost to you. I'd find a way to visit before I would reject a school that would would spare me thousands of dollars in debt.

If you really like UDel you should go there and figure out how to make it work financially. there's probably a lot of scholarships you could apply for while you're a student there that might not be available to you as an incoming freshman.

if you're really worried about costs and would feel guilty about you or your parents paying that much, go to umass. but you really should go where you think you would like being there.

that probably didn't help much, sorry! :-D good luck, I hope you can make it work with udel!

visit UConn...a lot of times seeing the campus you are considering will make the choice very clear. Ask yourself if you could see yourself there for four years or not. That should clear up a lot of your questions.

Currently, it may not be the best time to visit Uconn. It is spring weekend, which is basically when the whole University just parties non stop and some students do some pretty stupid things. Like tipping over cars or something.

I would not let this one weekend affect your decision though.

Wow! That sounds crazy. i'm visting UConn on Tuesday so it won't be that bad I guess. If I like it a lot, I might have to visit UD as well. Anyone have any other opinions?

Any cons about Delaware other than cost?

Perhaps its recognition. Its a great school, but not many know that. It is a school on the rise, though.

I will put it this way..... If I lived in Delaware, I would go to the University of Delaware. If I lived in Connecticut, I would go to UConn. If out of state, I would choose UConn. UConn seems to have more potential for growth, and has the edge in terms of name recognition.

Honestly, though, you can not go wrong with either.

I choose to go to University of Delaware. I was accepted into the school of business.

I just heard from Penn State (off the wait list). I am not in the school of business. I can transfer in if I maintain a 3.0. I do not think a 3.0 should be too difficult.

Should I go to Univ. of Delaware or take my chances at Penn State?
