I don't know which one I should send in to admissions... Or should I send both?

Both.

Nice job!

Thanks! Colleges won't mind 2 score reports will they?

you can and should give in both

A 35 or 36=Presidential scholar for ACT. 2400=Presidential scholar for SAT. Both are awsome!!!!!! Send both. It shows that you do good on both tests, instead of some people who do far better on one than the other.

I know this is probably a silly question, but what's a Presidential Scholar? I got a 36 on the ACT, but I didn't hear anything about that.

Actually, I was just going to ask that ;) I think its some recognition program for highest SAT/ACT cumulative scores in your state? I just Googled it...

I'm so jealous.

I suck at the SAT and I scorn it because I'm DONE with it now. I'm taking the ACT in Dec for the first time...I've been semi-prepping.

Any tips from you geniuses? Or is it geniusi? Bahaha.

Selection for Presidential Scholar finalists is automatic. Approximately 20 boys and 20 girls from each state make it to that stage. Last year, you needed a perfect 2400 SAT -OR- a 35/36 ACT from my state. I'm guessing that's because my state is not very ACT centric so the requirements are lower...

You'll be contacted in January if you're a finalist, and then you have to apply to become a Presidential Scholar. If you win, there's no scholarship money, but you go to D.C. for a week, meet the president, blahblah. It's a nice award, but it would be sooo much better if a few thousand dollars were tacked on... In any case, it's a big honor if you are a Presidential Scholar (thus one of the 'winners' of the thing).

OOH! That sounds exciting... do you know if they limit it by school, though? There were 2 2400's plus my 36 from my school this year... :-/

Don't worry, definitely no school limit :)

No Presidential Scholar is not just SAT/ACT, its comprehensive evaluation; only 2 are chosen from each state (a boy and a girl). The female AR PS went to Yale, male PS (very impressive student not fluke) went to UArk.

Well, it'd be cool to get to the finalists stage. I assume that's what amb3r was talking about when she said 20 girls and 20 boys per state.
