Hi. I would like to know which ones consider the writing score. These are the colleges I would like to know about:

1.Northwestern University
2.University of Michigan
3.Lehigh University
4.Carnegie Mellon University
5.Emory University
6.Cornell University
7.University of Pennsylvania
8.Duke University
9.University of Chicago

Thanks!

All of them. They may not tabulate and use in descriptor of student body, but they all want students who can write.

I mean which ones put a lot less weight on the writing score than the other sections? Meaning they claim to not use it in determining SAT scores even if they subconsciously take it into consideration.

I would think they all take the writing score into consideration, though the M+CR has more weight to it. Seeing as writing is the “easiest” of the three, it would look odd if you did well on every section except for writing.

Just speculating here.

Technicalities aside… there are some colleges that claim to not put weight on the writing score and only use the /1600 score while other use /2400. I know that Cornell doesn’t is one of the /1600 schools. My question is what schools are /2400.
