What are the good and bad parts of each schedule?

schedule #1 is definitely stronger, but it’s a really big risk to give up on the foreign language after 2 years (assuming you don’t have 4 years of another language)

Definitely better to have AP Calculus than AP States/Alg 3/College Algebra. And an AP science like AP Physics is better than a non-AP science. If schedule #1 could incorporate advanced foreign language (even if it’s not at the AP level) that would be great. Maybe swap it for AP Art or teacher aid or even AP Euro and that schedule would be great

W&M, would you prefer French 3 (Dual Enrollment) instead of AP Euro for senior year? Or would you mind if only one AP Science was taken senior year?

We’d first recommned French 3 over AP Art if that’s a possibility. If it’s not, we’d likely recommend French 3 over AP Europe. It’s tough because to have only 2 years of a foreign language is pretty weak but to lose a great AP like AP Europe or an AP science is also tough. But you should definitely try to pursue upper-level foreign language

Why do you reccomend French 3 over AP Art?

We consider foreign language a core class along with math, science, English and social science. We consider the fine arts, even when taken as academic classes, an elective.

So… If I switched out my Teacher Aiding for Art with French 3 would I have a good schedule?

Teaching Aid for Art isn’t listed on your schedule in the original post but yes, we’d definitely recommend French 3 over being a TA
