Which pre-orientation program would you recommend?

I know there's a thread for this below but it's 2 years old.
Im a business/engineering/neuroscience(?) major (yep I'm pretty indecisive) and the programs that interest me the most are EnDesign, world of politics, hot lasers and fast atoms, freshman press, and maybe LAUNCH? they all look really interesting though. Any personal experiences or recommendations?

Having done the hot lasers and fast atoms preo myself, I would recommend doing something not necessarily academic related. You’ll have plenty of time to get to know professors and learn about their research (which is a lot of what this specific program consisted of), but the preo week should be about getting to know other freshmen and having a good time. If a particular EC interests you (comedy, journalism, student government, etc.) and it might be something you want to pursue in college, that’s always a viable option. Elsewhere, everyone who’s been to LAUNCH has loved it. Just my two cents worth.

Thank you for the insight! Fast lasers looked interesting but I did have some concerns about doing a more academic pre o. I’m leaning towards the political one. Especially with the November elections coming up!
