There is NO way for us to rank these schools for you. There is no ONE best school, but schools that may be the best for YOU. For example, if you like to swim, some schools have no swim team, so they might rank last. Some of these schools are rural, some suburban. Which do YOU prefer? What languages and other courses are you interested in taking?

You can get a great education at all of these schools, but we can't tell you which one is "best."

Im not sure about all that but IMO, hotchkiss needs to come down a little. I personally prefer SPS over Deerfield but thats personal preference. Applying to both...

Waste of time from everyone involved. I even posted something like this and within a day I realized that this was the dumbest thing I have ever publically asked.

Here's a post made last August: (AND AGAIN IN SEPTEMBER!)

An embarassment of riches...
This country is the envy of the world when it comes to both secondary and higher education.

People who rant and rave about one american boarding school being "better" than another or say "This school is tier one while that one is 'merely' tier three.", need to get a new perspective and appreciation for schools in their own right. Go out into the world and see what passes for schools in most countries.

That very fine schools, replete with spacious and verdant campuses, handsome buildings, dedicated faculties and first-class facilities (by world standards), albeit ones thought of as not elite or first tier, are relegated to an occasional nod (perhaps) by posters on this site -- where they would be welcomed as a god-send by many other nations -- is a disgraceful display of ignorance to the world at large and its needs.

I think we need a strong dose of humility and gratefulness for what we have -- regardless of where our schools are "ranked"...rank, indeed!

Now that is SAT ranks and College Acceptances with SSATs and Acceptance Rates
Base your decision on other things though. Sports, arts and facilities vary on the school.
This is only this year, these will vary from year to year

It was posted a while ago. here is the list gain.

Please, how many threads do we need with that same list? And, I don't think I ever saw a source and/or citation for it. And, what is the point of it anyway???

Erkybk- are you the Mom, or the daughter at St. Marks School? This is just a silly list- and no one else in the prep school world would put these schools in this order. What's your motivation, or your point in constantly posting this list? Is it a cultural thing? What are we missing?

i know this has been repeated over and over but what do you guys think of our list. we are from the midwest so we know nothing of the schools just what we read on the internet and the reps who have come to see us. Here is our list are we right on or dead off:
