Which quarter has a higher chance for transfer applicants?

I'm an undergraduate on the east coast, so I'm not quite familiar with the west coast's quarter system.

UW offers admission to both Summer 2013 and Autumn 2013, and do you know which one offers a higher chance of getting in for transfer applicants? I guess it depends on student retention rate for those quarters.

A lot of people would think that summer would have the highest acceptance rate, but it doesn’t. They do have less applicants in the summer, but they also have less openings. Fall quarter has a slightly higher acceptance rate due to this. This is all based on my understanding of the in-state acceptance policy. I don’t know anything about winter quarter.

I attended a presentation on transfer last Thursday. The admissions officer stated flatly it’s much harder to get a transfer admit in summer.
