Which Recs Should I Choose?

<p>I need some recommendations as to which of my teachers I should ask for recommendations... I've got 4 potential teachers that I know can write me great recs. I'm going to be applying for biology major (and pre-med track) at all my schools. Most schools limit the number of recs to two.
1) English Teacher- Had him for English last year and AP Lit this year. He knows me well and I'm definitely one of his favorite students ever. Since I did so well last year, he gave me a free copy of the school's literary magazine at the end of the year (he's the advisor for Lit Mag). I can ask him to mention that. He'll also attest to skills of literary analysis and stuff. I'm almost positive I want to ask him for a rec for every school.
2) History- Had him for sociology in 10th and US History in 11th, he also knows me pretty well. But he's writing/will be writing a lot of recs for others as well so I don't know if he'll have time to write an excellent one for me.
3) Biology- Honors Bio a couple years ago and AP Bio right now. She'll have the regular "excellent student" stuff but I can ask her to mention specifics like how I dominated a jeopardy test review game one class, and that I took part in a program with a pharmaceutical company.
4) Chem- Had him for honors chem last year, and I did awesome in that class. I'm one of his favorite students, and I can ask him to mention that I'm self studying AP Chem (came to him for resources and such). He can also mention that I took part in the program with the pharmaceutical company.</p>

<p>I'm also applying to Brown for PLME so I'll need the 3rd rec from a science teacher. Is it alright if I use 1 rec from English or History teacher and the other 2 from my Chem and Bio teachers?</p>

<p>Having a senior year teacher is preferred and so I would drop the History teacher. Basically what you want is a teacher who will say great things about you. Adcoms are looking for phrases like "one of the best students I have encountered in my 20 years of teaching."</p>

<p>what if the teacher you ask has only been teaching for 4 years?</p>

<p>My history teacher wrote about 50 recs this year and mine was still amazing.</p>
