US History- C/C

my thoughts-
US HIstory - ( i did not try) i am really good at retaining information i think that if i read through a SAT II subject guide for US history i could remember a lot of the information. plus i hear the curve is nice

Math II- I only finished Algebra II but consider my self pretty good at math i actually kind of enjoy it. can i teach my self all i need to know with a test guide?

Biology- i did good in my class and enjoy reading about it. i also might major in environmental studies. Is the test considered hard?

Chemistry- the class i took was hard. not that chemistry was hard just the teachers way of teaching which is reflected in my grades

Literature- i do not consider english my strong point

ps i test December 6 and can only take them once

It all depends on where you are applying. If for UCs or top 50ish schools, you’ll have to take Math II. No choice at all there. I think that you could pick up the new concepts with a lot of prep. If your algebra class was rigorous, you might know a lot of the material already. I took it based on Algebra II/a month of PreCalc and got a 750.

If English itsn’t your strong point, don’t take Lit. It is one of the hardest exams.

Again depending on where you want to apply, you should probably take a humanities and a science to go with Math II, just to be safe.

US History is decently easy if you know the material pretty well (800 scorer speaking ) The test is really straightforward, with few trick questions.

I don’t know a lot about Bio or Chem, as I’ve never taken either, but just looking at your grades, you got As in H Bio. Maybe Bio would be better?

So, to sum this rambling post up, I vote for US History, Bio, and Math II.

Definitely take Math II–Most colleges expect you to, and some require it for certain programs/courses.

As for the other two, if you’re confident that you can do well in all of the tests you listed, I suggest you take the two subjects that you have the worst grades in. If you do well on the SAT II, it’ll soften your worse grades.

You should probably take math II and biology. Both are generally pretty easy tests. Just get like Barron’s and PR and self study for the bio test.

I dunno, I think Math 1 would be the better choice. According to CB, to take Math 2, you should have at least taken precalc and achieved a ‘B’…it’ll be hard to learn all the Math 2 precalc/misc. stuff in a month.

^True, but the trig tested is pretty simple trig. Law of sines, law of cosines, basic trig identities, unit circle, etc. Plus I think this guy is applying to the UC schools which only accept math II and not math I
