Which SAT score to send?

Today I got my SAT score back and was surprised. Now I am wondering which SAT score should I send to colleges as both are about the same:

March 10, 2012 SAT: 2100 (total)
730 CR, 730 Math, 640 Writing (8 essay)

October 6, 2012 SAT: 2120 (total)
660 CR, 720 Math, 740 Writing (11 essay)

My critical reading took a dive by 70 points which is surprising since I did a lot of reading during the summer. I am not sure if colleges will look at that dive negatively. The first SAT score looks more attractive to me as Critical Reading and Math are the more important subjects by which colleges admit you than writing. I just want your opinion as to which SAT score should I send as I don't want the admissions officer to look down on the bad reading score. Thank you!

Bump…Bump…

Well… it depends on a couple of things. If the colleges you are applying to do not use the writing score for admissions (sometimes the web site says so in the admissions section), then obviously just send the first score. Some colleges say they place much more weight on your admissions essays and do not use that score.

If they do use the writing score (or you can’t tell from the website) and they do superscore, then send 'em both.
