Since Cal Poly considers your highest SAT scores across all sections, should I still send scores that do not have a section high? Or would that only send a negative impression since they would know that I took another SAT, in which case I would only send the scores with a section high?

Send them all in otherwise it will look weird and they really do superscore and only consider the highest ones. However, if you have taken the ACT and did well then you can just send that it and forget about the SAT. We did that and our kid got in no problem. In fact, he was notified RD in the third week of February.

Thanks for the reply! What I mean is, if I have these scores for instance:

1st SAT - R: 700 / M: 700 / W: 500
2nd SAT - R: 600 / M: 600 / W: 600
3rd SAT - R: 600 / M: 500 / W: 700

Is there any point in sending my 2nd SAT scores? Since my superscore would draw only from my 1st/3rd SAT scores.

Unless admimission standards have changed, Cal Poly only considers your math and reading scores. If that is the case you would only need to submit test 1.

BTW, I like your forum name!

^ You’re correct - only the math and reading SAT scores are considered, according to:

Good to know, thanks!

Go M’s!
