I am a rising Senior in a bit of a dilemma. I'm not sure what SAT Subject test to take. My specialties are History and English but Im not sure how Id do on the US Subject test considering my 4 on the AP exam. As for World History, there is no AP World class offered at my high school (there is Honors World 1 and 2, both in which I took however I do not think either one of those classes would prepare me for the Subject test) however I have a pretty extensive understanding knowledge of World History ( I got only one wrong on the College board practice site but I dont think that is a good indicator of how Id do). Also I am wondering if I should take the Lit test without taking AP Lit yet ( I took Lang and got a 5 on the exam). I am just not sure what I should do about those tests or of their actual importance. For those who have taken any of the tests, please help. Any feedback is appreciated. Thank You.

Too many words.

You’ve already made the mistake of not taking the USH subject test immediately after the AP, so I don’t know if that’s worth it anymore. I got a 4 on the AP and then a week later without extra studying got a 770.

My D also did not take US History SAT2 last year while she got 5 in APUSH. She does not regret too much as she has planned to take Math2 and Chem SAT2 in Junior and her intended major is ChemE. You don’t really need to take many SAT2. Just take a few that you are most confident with and are related to your intended major.

yaa, you should’ve taken history already. I got a 4 on the AP test, and then on the June SAT, I scored a 770.
