Which schedule is better?

Hi everyone! Long time lurker, first time poster.

I'm currently a sophomore in high school and I'm considering dual enrollment full time next year at a 4 year university. I want to major in Psychology and go to med school, hopefully directly from undergrad. If I were to do dual enrollment I would take classes like psychology, chemistry, biology, and other gen ed requirements (English comp, some math classes most likely). But if I stay at my high school for junior and senior year my projected schedule looks like this:

Junior-
English 11 (Possibly AP Lang)
Gym/some art class (required)
Honors PreCalc
Honors Physics
APUSH
Spanish 4
Psychology

Senior-
English 12 (Possibly AP Lit)
Gym/some business class (required)
AP Calc AB
Human Bio
AP European History
AP Spanish Lang
AP Stats

Any advice? Which sounds better? Thanks for any replies. :)

Bump! Anybody?

Well both schedules seem very good. But keep a few things in mind:

What are your grades like? Can you handle college courses rather than AP courses that are specifically designed for high school students?

Can you effectively manage your time? What is your load like?

The most important thing to think about. What are the courses like? You should spend an hour or more looking up possible courses you want to take at the college. What specific courses can you take that will REALLY delve deeper into what you want to learn? Do you want to it delve deeper into your future course of study at this point? Or do you want to wait?

The schedule that is better is the one that works for you.

Thank you! Does anybody else have advice for me?

I think your schedules sound pretty decent. You could always take Psychology and then self study for the AP exam in May. Since you’re interested in med school, I would advise you to take AP Bio because that’s relating to your future career plan. I think it would help you if that’s what you really want to major in.

I thought about AP Bio but I would most likely end up taking it again in college anyways. I have a meeting with my guidance counselor tomorrow to talk more about my plans, and I’m going to talk to my parents. It’s just nice to get other’s opinions as well. Thanks for replying. :)
