Which schedule should I do?

So like most highschoolers, I'm signing up for courses. I'm a senior (Go class of 2011!!!) and I think it's time to step it up. I want to up my class rigor, so the transition into college courses isn't that tough on me.

My first schedule choice is a bit lenient, with easy classes marbeled into the AP Madness
- AP Physics B
- Adv Physics B Lab
- AP Literature and Composition
- AP Calculus AB
- AP Economics (Micro)
- AP Psychology
- AP Government & Politics (I think that's what it's called)

However, most of my teacher are aware that I intend on pursuing a medical field (In my case Neurosurgery) and advise that I should start to academically challenge myself now. The thing is, I don't have a knack for Physics (I'm in regular, trying to pull a B+) and AP Chemistry is a suicidal course to take in our school. This is the schedule my teachers recommended:

AP Physics B

Adv Physics B Lab

AP Literature and Composition

AP Calculus AB

AP Chemistry

Adv Chemistry Lab

AP Government & Politics

The things is, my rank is pretty high right now and I'm definitely in the running for Valec, I wouldn't want to loose that. However, I want to challenge myself and break new ground in my own academic limits, any advice as to which schedule I should take?

Thanks in advance guys!

Hmm…since you have a hard time with physics, then AP physics is going to require a little more studying. The time wasted on studying physics could affect your work in AP Chem. So maybe doubling sciences isn’t that great. But if you really want to cram in sciences into your senior sched. and don’t mind the work load, then go ahead with the 2nd choice. You’re going to have a lot of work either way, so good luck! :)

Thanks elau0493, I will take your advice into account!

Bumpp:)

Hmm. I have a question. Why not AP Biology? If you’re struggling in reg. physics now for a B+ then Physics will take some extra work.
Now, my friend took AP Phys C something or other, worked overtime about 4-6 hrs a day on homework or whatnot, and still did get a 4. It’s possible, just dependent on how much time you’re willing to put into it.
AP Biology is a little more fluffy in terms of hard analytical skill [more conceptual, more terms and that kind of thing]. So maybe you should think about that. It’s not “easy” but it’s not as intensive as other subjects in which you might struggle with your strengths/weaknesses.
Best of luck! x

haha thanks for the suggestion, but I’m in AP Biology right now, very easy class. Glad I took it the year before college, kept my GPA high.
