Which Scholarships can I receive?

Hello,

I would like to know what Scholarships I have a good chance to receive. My parents are not poor and our combined family income is well over 150,000 and they are engineers.

AP this year - AP Stats, AP Econ, AP Calc BC

Last year I got a C in Honors English and Calc AB

I am trying to get into an engineering major.

Extra Cirricular - Made about $8,000 from selling iPhone Apps on the App store I started making 3 years ago. Varsity Ice Hockey, Volunteering 80 hours teaching kids how to skate for free, volunteer 20 hours with red cross/ library/ food pantry

Thanks and please let me know if you need more information

What is your CR and Math SAT score…best sitting?

The best scholarships are awarded by the colleges.

CR- 600 Math - 700

Are you testing again? You really need to bump up your M+CR to at least a 1330 to get more merit. Your chances would really improve if you got a 1400 or more.

How much merit do you need?

Will your high school transcript have that weighted GPA on it?

What are your parents saying? How much will they pay each year? For instance, if your parents will only pay $15k per year, then you’d need a full tuition scholarship, so that their money would go for room, board, books, fees, etc.

Your GPA will be an issue for a number of scholarships, but there are some schools that will give you merit.

For example, if your transcript says a 3.6, then Alabama would give you a half tuition scholarship. If you raised your M+CR to a 1330, then you’d get a 2/3 tuition scholarship. If you got a 1400+ SAT, then you’d get free tuition.

edited to add…

I see that you’re an eng’g major. Well, if you got a 1330 M+CR, then as an eng’g major, you’d get free tuition plus 2500 per year from Alabama. That would be a huge scholarship for you. Your remaining costs would be about $12k per year.
