Which school do I have the best chance ED at? Duke, northwestern or Vanderbilt

I love Duke, Northwestern, and Vanderbilt pretty much equally. They each have individual pros and cons so I’m wondering which school I have the best chance ED at?

5 on AP literature

-honors language, honors science all throughout high school

  • regular math (I’m taking calc 1 as a senior)
  • no AP courses offered or honors courses in humanities

EC’s

  • captain of XC team
  • speech team member and team captain
  • leader of poetry and writing club
  • teacher assistant at community center for kids with English as a second language
  • Leader of student ambassadors club (helps admission staff and helps new students)
  • peer writing tutor
  • journalism intern for publishing company- I write articles for my neighborhood magazine
    -member of track team

Awards

  • national scholastic award for short stories: gold key at national level and honorable mention at state level

Hooks

  • I speak Spanish fluently and am a first generation American; my dad is Italian and my mom is European

I’d definitely say Northwestern would be your best bet. Of course, all of the aforementioned schools are highly competitive and no one is a shoe in. Given your stats, awards, and EC’s, I think NW would definitely be the move. I think you would be accepted at both Northwestern and Vanderbilt in the ED round.

Vandy most likely. You could ED2 to Vandy and ED1 to Northwestern.
