I agree with being top 10% in the class when applying. I think that’s the best plan. I will also look at Temple and Drexel as well since both are near Philly and my son loves the area. Thanks again for all of your help!
Surfcity–thank you for your comments. Very helpful. I have not thought about F & M but I will check it out. I will definitely check out Temple and Drexel too. I’ve heard good things about both schools.
I will be happier once this is all done and I don’t have to think about until my D’s turn in four years !
@surfcity I also want to jump in and thank you for the description of Ursinus. I’m a huge fan of Elizabethtown and to hear Ursinus has a similar vibe but is perhaps more rigorous is very helpful. That is just the type of place I’d like D to be.
Leafy campus sounds appealing, too.
@MACmiracle have you looked at Muhlenberg at all? I also liked that school - very friendly and similar academics to Ursinus.
D loves Muhlenberg, but I doubt the scholarships at Muhlenberg will be as generous as Ursinus.
If D wants to apply and see how it turns out knowing my limits, that’s okay with me.
Her Muhlenberg Tshirt is a favorite.
We found Muhlenberg’s financial package better then Ursinus was able to offer us. We were all set to accept Ursinus as the choice until Muhlenberg came in a little later but with more money. We found St. Joe’s to offer the least attractive financial aid package. Great school spirit but we found them to be less workable financially. Best of luck to you!
@beenthereanddone Thank you!
Best of luck!
