Alabama…

Ok thanks. Its my number one so thats good to hear

Ohio State by far

Ohio State is not on the list, and it is not a better business school than Alabama. I think when you are looking at business schools on the level of Ohio State and Alabama, you have to look at it in terms of how the school compares to others in its region. Alabama ranks much better in the South, than Ohio State does in the Midwest.

hkem, I just looked up rankings from a couple different sources and OSU is rated higher than Alabama.

Ohio State is ranked higher than Alabama in BW (53 vs. 75), but they are both very much solid regional schools. The opportunities at both would probably be very similar. The difference is that Ohio State is the third highest ranked school in its own state. It also has Miami (OH) which has a business school that’s consistently ranked in the top 20. I just think Ohio State has more regional competition to deal with than Alabama.

I don’t know why people insist on changing the subject. And US News calls OSU a national university. But whatever. Suit yourself.

Ooops my bad. Apparently i cant read…however im going to have to disagree with you there hkem123

although regional competition has absolutely nothing to do with OP’s inquiry im wondering how regional competition among business schools even relevant in this case?

i would never avoid a school because there are other good schools surrounding it…that would actually be something that would draw me towards it… the competitive atmosphere drives schools to better themselves on a regional level as well as nationally…everyone wants to compete with everyone

i will say that i have definitely seen miami oxford ranked higher than OSU but plenty of sources say otherwise and i assume you are talking about Cincinnati for the #2 spot in Ohio? maybe Weatherhead?

tOSU- #14 undergraduate business program / #25 graduate business program

Miami- #55 undergraduate business program/ #78 graduate business program

Cincinnati- #97 undergraduate business programs/ unranked graduate business program

Alabama- #81 undergraduate business program/ #78 graduate business program

US NEWS 2012^^

If we are talking strictly grad schools heres more evidence and i could present you with more if you feel this is not sufficient to at least say OSU is #1 in Ohio
