Which School has the best Medical School between Duke, Wake Forest, and Georgetown?

I am currently an undergraduate student looking for medical schools. I have plenty of time to decide but I would like to tour a couple colleges this summer but wanted to get peoples opinion on which medical school is best between Duke, Wake Forest, and Georgetown? For this post lets just say money is not an issue. Which school looks the best with a degree from? Any opinions or information would be appreciated.

Duke is the most prestigious hands down but they have a very different system (pre-clinical years condensed from 2 to 1.5, take step 1 after a few clinical rotations and mandated clinical year) so it’s not for everyone.

thank you! to take that a step further, would a degree from Wake Forest look stronger than a degree from Georgetown?

my guess is no but Wake Forest does actually have a higher USNWR research ranking. I think at that point you’re starting to split hairs and I have no sense as to whether the schools are remotely similar in terms of curriculum and such, things which will play much larger roles in your success than the brand name.

I totally agree. Thank you for your insight on this topic. Sometimes it is nice to get others perspectives because I was absolutely set on going to Duke, but then I reconsidered and thought about other schools that still have a great standing in the professional medical field. Any other recommendations on top medical schools I might possibly look at if I am interested in Orthopedics, Doctorate in Physical Therapy, or PhD. in Physiology. I know that these are all different but they can all lead me to my ultimate career path

Maybe Duke has changed, but my understanding was that they had a ONE year pre-clinical curriculum, followed by research for a year, then clinicals. If you don’t want to do research Duke may not be ideal

This makes no sense.

Somerset what don’t you understand??
