which school has the happiest students?

I'd like to know from all of you lovely Eng. Forum people, what school do you claim as having the happiest/most satisfied students? It's your turn to plug the place you like best!

:D Thanks.

See Princeton Review's Best Quality of Life List- Olin.
Most people here love it. Granted, the work load does bite... but most of us love to be busy and learn. Plus every one finds something they love outside of academics and does that.... We are generally a very happy, friendly place. Everyone knows everyone. We dont take ourselves serously... really, we dont. Take Talk like a Pirate day.. we had Mark (our Physics prof) even in on it.

Olin is a blast, but its not for all. If you can deal with having 300 people in your college, than its your place..

lol its the size of my school now

do they teach civ. eng.?

also, any other schools?

We only have 3 majors... MechE, ECE, and General E with Concentrations... We're so small if we get any more majors the system would get watered down. There wouldnt be enough interest in each to get a strong program in everything, so we'd have to expand. and getting bigger is a no , since size is some of what makes Olin, Olin.
Becky, I know youre out there.. help my case

You've pretty much got it covered...

As far as general E goes, there are established (well, sort of) concentrations in :
computing
bioengineering
matsci
systems

You can also design your own concentration (I know a few kids thinking about E with design).

If you want to be a civil E though, you should probably look elsewhere.

This is a good question. Any other thoughts?

<shameless plug="">
Take a look at Rice -- challenging, but a great experience

As long as we're on the shameless plug...if you're looking for a good engineering school that's not cut-throat...Carnegie Mellon is good for that. And we have music and art majors, so they sing on their way to class and put up crazy modern art displays in the elevator/on the quad/in the commons etc...it's always interesting.
And don't believe the always studying stereotype at any school. The first time it snowed this year, hundreds of kids were out at 3 am building snowmen...on a SCHOOL NIGHT.
So don't worry, I think you'll be happy a lot of places.

Oh, man! The snowball fight at CMU was amazing.... I was outside from 10ish till 2 AM.

It's great!

I think the best combination of prestige and high quality of life, especially in engineering, is to be found in a certain school in Palo Alto.

Maybe in prestige, but quality of life is what you make of it...

and no awesome snow in Palo Alto.......though my boyfriend goes there, so I shouldn't be too harsh.....
