or School of Kinesiology

School of Kinesiology.

Thanks, would you say its substantially easier? And what approach should I take on the essay ?

Are you sure? Kinesiology is where they place most of the recruited athletes.

Kinesiology, although ranked very high in the nation, is easy compared to LSA

True, many recruited athletes go into kinesio, but I think it's easier to get into than LSA (logically, they want non-athletes there too, right?)

Keep in mind that Kinesiology is looking to enroll about 130-150 students each fall. LSA is looking for something more like 3500. On the other hand, Kines can be a self-select bunch--you're not looking at 20,000 fellow applicants. All in all it's hard to do a head-to-head comparison.

A few years back, a lot of students were rejected from UM cause the school of Kinesiology was already filled with athletes (so they had to defer a whole bunch). If your looking to apply now (in December), I would say apply to LSA.
