Which school is better for Data Science?

Hey everyone,
I got accepted to two masters program in data science. One is from Lewis university, they provide a fully online masters in data science which is 36 credits. The other one is from depaul masters in Predictive Analytics which requires 48 credits.(Never seen a masters require that many credits) I am kind of torn between these two since I am interested in machine learning, and seems like depaul has few more courses in that. The down side to depaul are, that I need to compete more classes, and seems like I would need to get a proctor for the exams even though they offer the degree online. I am working full time so having to travel to local college and probably spend more money to take exams for depaul is a downside to me. The other idea I had was if I go with Lewis, it would be cheaper, I was told would cost around 27000 to get the degree, and I was interested in taking some machine learning courses at NYU for non degree, also saw some other colleges providing a certificate in machine learning.

So what do you guys think? Is one school a lot better then the other? They both have similar courses, going by the description. My work will be paying for some of the school, so cost is not a big factor as time.

I’d ask on Reddit or HN.

I can’t really say for sure. However, I will say that I have actually heard of DePaul before - it’s a good university - whereas I have never heard of Lewis. That doesn’t mean it’s not a good school, but tech (especially top firms) tends to be a more prestige-focused field that will definitely take the pedigree of your degree into account.

Also, ask about career placement and outcomes. Where do graduate of each program go after they finish? Not hypothetically speaking, but actually?

Thank you for the advise, yeah Depaul is older and bigger school, it has like 20000 students while Lewis is 7000, going by wiki.

Hi, Which school did you ultimately joined?
I also got accepted in Lewis University
