<p>Please help. If I could theoretically get into both, which is a better school?</p>
<p>They’re close enough to each other that it’s a personal comfort matter.</p>
<p>Vandy is more of a medium-small elite school in a big city. People are more likely to come from all over, and go back when they graduate. It has a few more grad/professional students than undergrads. You’ve got a reasonable chance of drawing aid money if you need it.</p>
<p>UVA is more of a medium-large amazing state flagship. People are more likely to come from in state, and stay in state when they graduate. Alumni contacts are plentiful throughout the state, but especially in NoVa. IS incredible bargain, OOS you’ll pay the same as any top private school. More undergrad focused, outnumbering grad/professional students by more than 2:1, and that’s the size difference as well.</p>
<p>There’s no reason to worry about it now. If you get accepted at both, visit both, sit in on classes, talk to professors. There is plenty of time to make the choice if you have it.</p>
