Which school is harder to get into?

Is Northwestern, Notre Dame or the University of chicago toughest to get into and what do you base this upon? Thanks :)

They're all in the same league, but:

U Chicago

Northwestern

Notre Dame

I base this on average SAT score, admit percentages, and other stats.

All three are equally difficult to get into...but Chicago is probably the most random and unpredictible.

wow thanks, I guess I knew they were all pretty equal but uchi's higher admit % had me fooled and I used to think Notre Dame was hardest by far, obviously I was just basing this on preconceived notions about the school, My parents are huge fans of the football team and I guess from a young age I thought it was the most famous school ever and way harder to get into than any others. I guess it still is as hard as I thought, but now I know they are all three really hard. Dang it! Thanks again

UChicago's pool is pretty self-selecting. That's why it has a higher yield rate. You have to be very serious about academics to want to go to UChicago, considering its rep for students who study all day.
Also, with their insane "Uncommon App" it's rare for people to apply there just for the heck of it. (a couple of people from my school planned to apply... and gave up once they saw the essay topics) =P

yeah I'm a big nerd and I want an academically intense atmosphere, but I don't want to get my hopes because i don't think my essay was "quirky" enough

I read that Northwestern is considered "out of the box" does that mean it is kind of looking for "quirky" students like UCHI? and also if you do respond please answer the question I first posted, I'm curious to hear other opinions. Thanks

bump bump sorry :)
