Which school is harder to get into?

just a little tidbit

http://w4.stern.nyu.edu/aboutstern/

Unless every out of stater is pulling a 1550 at UNC, you are wayyy off

Average Stern SAT is 1410.

http://www.ais.unc.edu/ir/factbook/fb2004-2005/student/fb04tbl11.html

Average OOS UNC SAT is 1347. However, UNC only accepts about 18% of total OOS applicants EA (not sure about RD). I don't know Stern's acceptance %.

UNC's acceptance rate is misleading, because a lot of weak students apply, whereas Stern applicants almost always have at least a 1400

unc's acceptance rate is misleading? They take about 35% total; thats really low for a state school. They also get more out of state applicants than in state kids yet they take a lot less out of state. If you're applying to unc from out of state you also will most likely have at least a 1400 (much like stern) to be considered a competitive applicant.

unc is also often considered the 2nd hardest state school to get into from out of state behind UC: berkeley and we all know how hard it is to get in there...

(too close to call) NYU Stern, UNC-out ot state

Wash U

(too close to call) UWisc-out of state, UMich-out of state

UF-out of state

UNC OOS/ Stern/ WUSTL

Michigan OOS

UWisc OOS/ UF OOS

why the hell would you want to go to florida BigRed? Just go to Rutgers then. cheaper and closer to home.
