i totally have my heart set on NYU!! I am interested in education, psychology,
and computers. I have heard either Gallatin or Steinhardt or the school for social study are the three easiest, relatively speaking.....I know this is a tough school. I have a strong record, with lots of commuinty service and extra curriculars, but scored low on sats.1100's. Sat 2's were 650 about both math and literature. Please let me know if you can help. I really apprecaite any input you may have!! Thank you!

Steinhardt and Social Work are probably easiest. From what I can tell (which, of course, is limited) the stats are a little lower and there's no specific recipe for what is needed to be admitted, unlike Gallatin, where there's a "type" in mind (the type being an individual who will thrive in an independent environment, which is something that should manifest through grades and EC's and stuff). My knowledge of Steinhardt is somewhat limited but from what I know of the people who have gone there (or who are going there), it CAN be a CAS backdoor. If you have a reason to want to study at Gallatin, and can make up for weak stats by defining yourself articulately then go for it.

if ur intersested in eduaction go steinhardt
but beware its SUPER hard to transfer to another school w/in NYU
dont choose a career just b/c it was easier to get into

i was just lucky that communications was in steinhardt
unfortuantely, besides stern, they dont have the break down by schools
they tell u the midrange is 1310-1470 and 3.63 ...i thought my chaces were 50/50 b/c i just made it with a 1320 and 3.63 and wasnt an urm or legacy but i applied early which helps...but they gave me not only an acceptance but $5000 merit scholarship! that told me though that steinhardt much be a lot easier to get into than i thought

hi they tell you the midrange for steinhard is 1320 or NYU arts and sciences? How about if i am middle eastern american, should i play that up? just looking for an edge. let me know if you have any tips? Thank you!! Merry Christmas.

being middle eastern doesn't help u. People complain about affirmative action all the time, yet the ones that complain about it are the ones that are trying to take advantage of it.

how do u go about transfering internally, everyone just says its so hard, but what do u have to do

Please stop making ignorant remarks.
Until you find statistics of this theory of yours, then quit generalizing about what you don't know.

How hard/easy is it to get into Gallatin? Compared to the other schools?

hi they tell you the midrange for steinhard is 1320 or NYU arts and sciences

steinhard = ok gpa, 1350 sat you're in
CAS - need a little better SAT score
