I'm sophmore and I'm thinking of transferring to syracuse. I currently go to Miami University of Ohio. Which school looks better on a resume if I'm planning to work in New York.

New York State? Manhattan? Doing what kind of work?

yeah, I'm definitely going back to New York City and hopefully find a job in banking or wealth management after college. I don't know if it'll hurt my chances of getting a good job if employers see that I transfer to another school. Business Week ranks Miami's undergrad business program as 17 in the nation but from what I see in terms of campus recruiting, most of the jobs are for the midwest and Miami (Ohio) doesn't seem to be a very well known school in the northeast. I don't really know how well known Syracuse's business school is. I don't know if I should stay put or transfer.

I would go with the bigger name school.

Call Syracuse and see if you can speak with the career services office about which employers recruit there--that should give you a good idea of which school will offer you a better chance of getting a job in banking or wealth management.
