Which school should I attend?

I am currently a senior and am having difficulty deciding which school would be best for me. I want to go far away and attend a big school with a nice size campus. I was completely set on Penn State, but when they didn't accept me into the main campus, my decisions started to change. The schools that I am deciding from are James Madison University, University of Massachusetts Amherst, Rutgers New Brunswick, Penn State Altoona (was not accepted into the main campus), and Florida State (waiting for my admission's decision). What are your thoughts on any of these schools?

what can your family afford? what do you think you might major in? where do you live?

Well I live in New Jersey and have applied to be undecided. Before I applied to any college, I made sure that my family and I would be able to afford the tuition so, as of now, that isn’t an issue and isn’t a part of my college decision.

I was looking for criteria to separate out one school from another. Cost will not be one. Major will not be one. Perhaps distance can be one: New Brunswick is not too far from anywhere in NJ. You really don’t want Altoona unless you cannot live without University Park; think then of Altoona as purgatory. JMU, FSU, and UMass remain?

If you are unsure, then try to visit your top choices for accepted student day. But since you are in-state for Rutgers, I’d probably go there.
