@LBad96 I have, tons of times. She’s afraid if something happens, she’ll be far away. She said she “can’t afford to fly me back and forth”, but I doubt I’ll be doing that. She’s also told me I can transfer out of Montclair, but I’ll try to explain that it will impact my aid
My own parents told me that ALL the time last year. They wanted me to stay only two hours away, but they still let me pick my own school, which is 9 hours and just under 500 miles away from home. Don’t let your mother limit you.
Any update?
@MYOS1634 Sorry, I just saw your post! I haven’t gotten any more acceptances yet. I’m probably just going to Montclair, unless Catholic University or Providence offer me some assistance. I’m pretty sure Providence won’t.
You’d be making a mistake if you don’t at least apply to Valparaiso. It’s free, so it doesn’t hurt you at all. Plus, they may give you more aid than Montclair if that’s what you really need.
@MYOS1634 I just applied to La Salle, Marist, Gannon, & Temple.
I’ll keep my fingers crossed!!!

The more choices you have, the better the odds of one becoming affordable.
Do keep us updated. I really hope you get into an affordable match school.
(If push comes to shove, there’s always Montclair of course…but wouldn’t it be nice to have a choice?)
I got my Montclair acceptance today!
@newjerseygirl98 congrats on your acceptances. My daughter has very similar stats as you a bit higher gpa. She applied to providence college as well.
I’m happy you added a few more options. Please keep us posted. Did you submit your scores to Temple or Providence?
My daughter was accepted into Becker college in MA as well as Suffolk University in Boston and DePaul in Chicago.
She’s still waiting to hear from Providence, Temple and Syracuse. We submitted her scores to Temple so I’m not sure what will happen there.
But I’m happy she has options and you will too. Can’t wait to see where else you get in.
@Kitzka1 I didn’t submit my scores anywhere, except Eastern Nazarene. Thank you! Congrats to your daughter, and good luck to her.
CONGRATULATIONS!
When do you get your aid package?
Are you going to go visit?
@MYOS1634 Thank you!
I’m not sure! I think I have to submit my student/room deposit before I can view it online. The deposit is $525, so that won’t be for a while!
I’ve already visited in October, I loved it
If I don’t enjoy/get accepted into Temple, I’ll attend Montclair.
Your financial aid package should be available to you before you have to make any decision or deposit any money. it should appear soon but each university’s different.
Providence or Montclair. Based on your situation Montclair as of now, but wait for financial aid
