Eventually want to go into business. Probably finance not 100% yet tho. I have gotten into Dartmouth Duke Northwestern Tepper and Stern Scholars. I am tryin to consider academics/prestige/ best job placement after graduating. If you could give me any info that owuld be great thanx

hmm. I think it really depends.

Out of all these schools Tepper would be the weakest.

As for what's strongest, it's going to depend.

Stern, Dartmouth, Duke, and Northwestern all are great and all get great recruitment all major BBs recruit from there.

But our of all those above schools, Lazard only recruits at Northwestern. So, I might give the edge to Northwestern.

Dartmouth = No business majors.
Duke = No business majors.
Northwestern = No business majors.
Stern & Tepper = They have business majors; both are pretty good.

If I were you I would go to Dartmouth College over the rest, you should have no problem getting into business if you go to Dartmouth. Honestly I would leave Stern & Tepper last, yeah sure their business schools are top notch but the overall school isn't as good as Dartmouth/Duke/Northwestern.

Err what? Overall school? I would consider Cargnegie Mellon University as a pretty good overall school. They are well known for their engineering.

As for Stern...although Stern is part of NYU, I wouldn't even consider Stern as NYU.

Maybe Carnegie Mellon University is an exception (for engineering and business), but I would choose Dartmouth/Duke/Northwestern over it any day.

ya i have carnegie mellon lowest on my list. As for Stern, the only thing that is makin it tough to turn down the school is that its already in new york city. It must have so many opportunities to get internships and jobs right out of school. I know other schools get recruited from 2-3 times a year at career fairs, but bein in the city nyus right there. Prestige wise graduating from a Duke or a Northwestern or a Dartmouth is obviously much better. Dartmouth I have a lil lower than Duke and Northwestern bc they didnt give me any financial aid and itll be tough to afford it.

I think Northwestern might be the best opportunity then. I dont think you'll have a problem getting recruited from there and you'll have a great reputation behind you.

Stern is the best out of all of them listed for bussiness. I think you will have more job oppurtunities in the city (NYC) if you go to Stern! Stern is a great name (one of the best actually) if you want a degree in bussiness! It also depends where you want to live after college. Want a city? Want busy streets? NYU Stern wins! Good luck!
