Which school should I go to?

I got into UCSC, UCM, Cal Poly Pomona and Cal State Fullerton. I am going to be pursuing a degree in economics( with hopefully and emphasis on international economics). I know that the BUSINESS program at Cal State Fullerton is very good due their new business complex, and I have read elsewhere that Cal Poly Pomona is about the same level as CSUF. I am looking into the economics programs, but it seems that all of the schools I got into are nothing stellar in economics. I live in Orange County so Fullerton is very close to my house and I would be living at home. Definitely not what I want from my college experience though. I am probably deciding between UCSC and Cal Poly Pomona because I want to be able to dorm and I hear that Merced is a wasteland that is horrible for someone who wants to be able to relax and have fun occasionally.

Thanks. Any input helps.

bumping the thread.

Go to UCSC. Always go UC over CSU (with few exceptions). Also UCSC is an excellent University.

thanks… is that based on their economics program that they are a good university or just in general.

the UC’s have more resources and better faculty who are publishing their work more currently. Also, they have contacts on other campuses if you are considering grad school. Again, because the UC system has more funding to send faculty to national conferences.

Go to SC for the better of both academics and campus life.

there is one thing I forgot to add. I got accepted into this Bobcat to Bear program which allows me to go to Merced for 2 years and then transfer to Berkeley. Would you recommend that over UCSC? Or would I get too attached to UCM and then not want to leave…
