Hello Friends,
I am currently at a satellite school in the Pitt system. I applied for a transfer and got into Brandeis, Case Western, and Rutgers (my state school). Although I’m still waiting for NYU and Wake Forest, the acceptance deadlines for the schools above are May 1st or 2nd. Which one do you think I should go to?
Thanks!
@alexandrew35 Go where you will be happy and meets your personal preferences (closer to home, less expensive, better place to live etc). You need to focus and study to get good GPA and MCAT score. That will happen if you are happy and no distraction.
“Brandeis, Case Western, and Rutgers”
Given that this is in the “pre-med topics” forum, I will assume that you are pre-med. These are all very good schools. They can all prepare you well for the MCAT and will be recognized as good schools if and when you apply to medical schools.
You should go to a school that you can afford with little or no debt, and where you will be happy. Do not worry about “prestige”. No one is going to care about prestige. They will care about whether you attended a good school, and all of these are very good.
These are good options. Go where you will have no debt for undergrad, if possible. Because…medical school will be loans, loans and more loans…huge ones.
