Which school to choose??

Hello everyone,
I'm new here but joined just to ask this question, one that I've been thinking of plenty recently.
I got into:
UC Boulder
DePaul (6k/yr scholar)
Loyola New Orleans (17k/yr scholar)
Rollins (12.5k/yr scholar)
and waiting on Chapman in orange county.

I am aiming to study biology (premed), I was wondering what the best school would be to attend? I have no preference in size, I just want a good education. Boulder is really expensive, and I don't like DePaul very much. I've mainly been thinking about Loyola and Rollins, and potentially Chapman depending on if they offer me $$$. Can anyone provide me with their opinions? Thank you!

I’d definitely go with Loyola over Rollins, though I don’t know the specifics of biology at each.

Are you out of state for Boulder?

Loyola NO sounds good. Do you have the rest of the costs covered?

My S has taken alot of science at Rollins and feels they have a very good program. He has enjoyed all the professors in the Biology and Chemistry departments and has a good rapport with them. He has yet to take any Physics but has heard the same praise for them. I would suggest you maybe contact some of the professors at Rollins to ask any particular questions about the department.

I don’t know anything about Loyola New Orleans so can’t comment on the strength of the department.

It is hard to beat Orlando/Winter Park and the Rollins campus is beautiful.

Yes, I am out of state for all of the schools I have applied to. (I want to get out of my state) I believe that my costs will all be covered so I am not 100% worried about price. Boulder would be 42k/yr for me, I’m going to try and contact an admissions person and tell them what I’ve been offered at other schools and see if they will compete.
I like Rollins better than Loyola New Orleans at the moment due to the location, although I’d rather not judge before seeing either of the campuses apart from pictures. Which environment would be better, Winter Park/Orlando or New Orleans? Both are in the south and I would imagine have similar climates…

So far people haven’t really given me the response im looking for. Which schools are better academically? Which one will help me get into a better medical school? Which school is more renowned and will help me get a better job in the long run? (Maybe average salaries of graduates would be nice)

you may already be aware of this, but i thought i would mention it anyway. it makes no difference what your major is as far as applying to med school goes. in many cases, a med school would rather except a non-science major. of course you will have to take the 8 or so prerequisites for med school along with whatever major you choose.
