hey im having a hard time deciding what school i want to transfer to. i wont be transfering for another year, but i dont want to end up wating till the last minute. im most likely going to be a mechanical engineering major so a school with a fair amount of research projects/opportunities would be great, i like the small town/college town type of cities, i love outdoor activities, and i would really like the school i go to to have a pretty decent party scene.

these are the schools im looking at so far:
CU boulder
washington state- pullman
uc davis
cal poly slo
oregon state
sdsu

im at a community college in CA. i dont really have any ec's, in HS i was 4 year varsity swimmer, but i dont think im going to continue to swim. iv got a job for during the winter break, but other than that iv had a hard time finding a job for the rest of the year. iv been calling around looking for summer internships, but i havent found any really. IDK if i would even qualify anyways, so far i havent really taken any ENG classes.

If you can keep a 4.0 up for three more semesters you should apply to Berkeley/LA/SD. They won't look at high school transcripts or SAT scores, they're a great bargain if you're in-state, and as a CC student you'll have a higher chance of getting in than someone from another UC or CSU.

hmm...maybe SD, but idk if i would like berkely or ucla. i would hate living in LA. Berkeley...idk, i liked sf when i visited but idk if i would want to live there. i really like outdoor activities more than city life. also i think id be able to get a better gpa at some of the other schools, and i want to go to grad school.
