Which Schools Accept the Old SAT?

Hey everybody!

I know that the Ivies all accept the old SATs, as do the majority of elite eastern schools, but does anybody have a list of of schools (or single schools) that don't accept the old SATs? I mean, what about schools in California like Caltech, Berkeley, Stanford? Liberal arts schools like Williams, Amherst, Swarthmore? Public universities like UMich, Rutgers, UCSD?

Any information on these schools you have would be great! (I checked, but half of them had the information in a corner of the website and the other seemed to be lacking any mention at all...)

Sat is the sat as far as I know.

Only one SAT exists now and one can check the admissions website for any school and find out the info. If a question exists I recommend e-mailing or phoning the particular school you need to know about. Some schools don't require the SAT and others will take ACT with writing option. Some schools have modified the SAT2 requirments as the new writing sections have covered that issue.

er. you know? the old sat, pre-january 2005?

if you took the old SAT it should be fine everywhere (as long as you took it within the past three or four years i think)

and if it isn't, i say screw those schools anyway

University of California and Rutgers both require either the new SAT or the new ACT with Writing.
Stanford doesn't require the new SAT but strongly recommends 3 SAT II's including Math 2C.
Caltech doesn't require the new SAT but requires two SAT II's including Math 2C and a science.
Michigan requires the new SAT.
Amherst requires either 1) the old ACT, 2) the new ACT with Writing, 3) the old SAT with 3 SAT II's, or 4) the new SAT with 2 SAT II's.
Williams requires either the old SAT/ACT with 3 SAT II's or the new SAT/ACT with 2 SAT II's.
Swarthmore requires either the old SAT/ACT with 3 SAT II's (one of which must be SAT II Writing) or the new SAT/ACT with 2 SAT II's.

Hm. Thanks!

Time to see if i can change that october registration from SAT to SAT II: Mathematics IIC

Bleh.
