Which schools are big on "demonstrated interest?"

I'm talking about the schools that are easier to get into if you show them that you love them (by visiting 10+ times, calling admissions repeatedly, researching everything about the school, writing a fantastic essay based on why you love them).

The only one I can think of is Penn. Any more?

BROWN UNIVERSITY
demonstrated interest = VERY IMPORTANT for them.

There was a thread on here with a list, one minute and I'll find it for you

Washington University in St Louis!

another thread related to demonstrated interest

useful sites

Any college that has the Tufts Syndrome. Tufts comes to mind.

UPenn. My friend was talking to an admissions officer, and was told that they keep track of if and how many times somebody calls after applying, and look upon interest displayed that way in a positive light.

emory, definitely

Emory, Wash U, Hamilton, Union, Colby, Bates, Bowdoin.

I'm surprised to see any Ivy listed.

I was just at Northwestern and they stressed the importance of it.

futurenyustudent - you are aware the Tufts Syndrome is largely a myth - and that it doesn't really exist anymore?

Anyway, with any top school, they want to see that a student has real, demonstrated interest, so that they will actually thrive in the respective community, versus just going through the motions of applying to the most selective schools.

Mostly schools that have problems with yield such as the University of Rochester.
