So I hadn’t realized that more selective schools tend to accept students before their official notification date at the end of March or early April until I was recently accepted at Vanderbilt and Grinnell. I know that Vanderbilt has done this to invite students to their MOSAIC event, and Grinnell does this a lot to offer students their trustee scholarship. Are there any other schools like these that accept RD students early?
Congrats on those schools! Who are the people who usually get a Mosaic interview? I know all Ivys send out likely letters to the top of their applicant pool who they feel will get into basically any school. Uchicago does this too. Also, Irvine has sent out acceptances for honors program students and regents scholars. Berkeley has sent out regents which means you’re guaranteed acceptance. USC sends out merit scholarship interviews to some students in January which means you’re admitted. Amherst does a similar but more competitive thing.
@couplemoreweeks Thanks! MOSAIC is like a visitation that is designed for students from diverse backgrounds. Around 200 students out of the 2900 admitted applicants are invited to MOSAIC. I’ve heard of likely letters, but it really must be incredibly hard to get them from Ivys. Thanks for your help!
I, along with a bunch of other applicants, got accepted into Northeastern last week. It’s not because of a special program or anything.
