I went to UMD..College Park..and it was really huge~compare to george town..
So I want to know which is largest?
Anybody know?

I've heard that Stanford is the second largest campus in the world, but I can't back that up... It is huge, though. UMD is 1500 acres... Stanford is 8,180 acres.

I found first one..It's USC..wow

USC is actually a fairly small campus... Urban area, so it's pretty compact... I'm going by acreage, of course, not student population.

Oh sorry..I saw wrong..;;

I thought Penn State's main campus was quite large.

What about OSU?

It's gotta be Utexas

Wouldn't Duke be up there? Adding all their campuses, and that 7900 acre forest.

According to http://en.wikipedia.org, Ohio State University is 15,347 acres, Duke is 9,432 acres, and Penn is 18,370 acres. I don't know about UTexas, doesn't it consist of several campuses?

UTA? rice?

rice. haha no way. it's very small. it is the largest private cemetery in texas though. (i know that sounds strange. it's just because the founder of the university is there)

UT has several campuses (San Antonio, Dallas, Arlington etc.) but the main campus is in Austin.

Yeah Duke is huge. 9000+ acres

Ut.............

I think UT Physically is small, but it probably has the most students ~50,000

NYU! the whole of New york city is the campus here =)

ok that's cheap. NYU has no campus lol

I believe the OP is asking for the largest campus in terms of acreage. In that case, look at rc251's link.

However, in terms of student enrollment, NYU is the largest private university, and USC is second. Ohio State is the largest public.

car202, if you think UMD-College Park and Georgetown are large campuses, then you definitely need to visit some more schools! Those would be some of the smaller schools I've seen.
