Which schools do you suggest for me?

I'm very interested in computer science, perhaps in combination with some graphic design and / or visual communication type program. I'm based in Oklahoma but I want to look outside of it as well, perhaps in nearby states like Texas. I've considered Texas A&M and UT Austin, but I'd like some more suggestions for where to go.

I'm looking for a school with good academics and good social life, balanced. Here's my grades, GPA, EC's, etc. just so you know. I was wondering what you think of my scores, coursework, etc. What are my chances of getting admission and scholarships?

GPA: 4.1 (4.0 UW)

Class rank: In top 7%

AP Courses: AP Calculus, AP Chemistry, AP English IV, but have not taken AP tests for Calc and Chem because of competitions that required my presence out of state)

SAT: 1900 (first time)
Reading - 610
Math - 640
Writing - 650
Reading + Math = 1250

SAT: 1940 (second time)
Reading - 620
Math - 620
Writing - 700
Reading + Math = 1240

EC:

Hmm, so what kind of schools do you think could fit me?
Thanks in advance!

I’m looking for schools too with a STEM major. From what I’ve seen, I don’t think you’d get scholarships to UT or A&M. I know that UT doesn’t give much merit aid anymore and requires higher scores. A&M requires higher scores, too, so you’d have to pay all costs at both of those schools.

Someone told me that the Southern schools like LSU, Miss St, and Alabama give merit aid, but I’m not sure if your scores are high enough. The person told me that 1300 and higher is mostly needed if you’re from out of state. Are you going to take the SAT again or the ACT?

Do you need a big scholarship or just a small one?

How much can your family afford? I doubt you’d get anything except federal FA (Stafford loan and Pell Grant if your income is low enough) for either school.
