Which schools do you suggest?

hey everyone, I am asian, and I have a 3.5 GPA unweighted, but a 4.2 GPA weighted. I have taken so far 6 AP classes, with 5 honors classes. I have over 1000 hours of community service. Im hopefully going to be a national merit semifinalist, and hopefully a finalist after that. I play competitive violin and I have played in many competitions including school competitions, receiving nothing less than a I rating. I am also a tennis player, and I play on my schools tennis team. Next year I am hoping to become president of my schools orchestra, and also start a club that directly impacts kids in bad areas by tutoring in those schools. My SAT score is around a 2100. I haven't taken my ACT score yet. Im hoping to do engineering (not sure which) and hopefully finance. What schools do you think are best for me? And is there anything I can do to make my application stand out?

Reach:Rice, Claremont McKenna, NYU
Match: UCD, UCI
Safety:local colleges

Awesome thanks. What would you categorize these schools in. Vanderbilt, UofM, UT Austin,
Georgia Tech, University of Tulsa, UNC Chapel hill, University of Southern California, University of south carolina? Thanks again

oh and I forgot CMU

Michigan and Vanderbilt would be high matches, I think.

Georgia Tech- you’re in for engineering. I got into their ChemE program out of state and my stats were worse than yours (I sent a 31 ACT rather than an SAT score). For U Texas, if you’re in-state you have a shot, if out of state, I’m not sure. The reason I say that is because the Cockrell School of Engineering at UT is very strange with admissions. They care more so about class rank and GPA then they do about challenging coursework and extra curriculars. I can’t comment on the others because I didn’t apply there. Btw, I am a current freshman at UT, if you have any questions, feel free to PM me (I’m a math major though, not engineering).

Were you in state for UT? Ill definitely talk to you. Im really interested in Austin.

Also one of my family members was a georiga tech grad. Does this help my admissions?

bump bump bump
