Which Schools fit this criteria :-D

I want a school not focused too much on school, but rather focused on the individual.

I would like a nice scenery; nice place to live.

I don't want it to be SUPER expensive, as I'm paying for college, and I don't want too much of a debt.

I might want to be a doctor or lawyer (if that helps), so kind of a good reputation with medical or law school.

I want it to be super personal.

I would like a LAC, but it doesn't have to be.

Which college fits this? :-D

Thanks in advance.

No matches?

Any of the smaller LAC's in the Northeast, etc....Middlebury, Williams, Swarthmore, Vassar, Amherst, Tufts, Brandeis, etc.

If you are a girl, consider Wellesley. Great for pre-law and has a strong science program.

but if you are not a girl... sorry. :p

I'd be a chap.

:-) :-)

Haverford, Earlham

Holy Cross would be a very good match. Great school spirit and alumni network that helps in job placement. The HC campus is very nice and as a small school, one gets individual attention from Profs.

what are your stats like so we can match you?

What about Elon or Juniata?

30 ACT
Medical Magnet High School
top 15 percent
3.77 unweighted GPA, 4.02 weighted GPA

Depauw university is a top tier lac with an amazing pre-med, biology and chem program. They also give amazing aid, and it is a pretty fun place to live and if you cant find fun there you can always drive about 30 min away to iu in bloomington

I JUST HAVE TO GET THIS OUT THERE: PAR72, HOLY CROSS IS THE ONLY SCHOOL YOU EVER TALK ABOUT. Honestly, click his username to look at all of his posts--NOT ONE DOESN'T MENTION HOLY CROSS. You recommend it even when it BLATANTLY doesn't fit any of the person's criteria!

To the OP: What about a nontraditional school like New College of Florida or Hampshire or Bennington? They are known for a focus on the individual.

University of Mary Washington would be a good bet for a 'chap' of your caliber. and it is a public school!

bard and whitman?

LOL>>>> I JUST HAVE TO GET THIS OUT THERE: PAR72, HOLY CROSS IS THE ONLY SCHOOL YOU EVER TALK ABOUT. Honestly, click his username to look at all of his posts--NOT ONE DOESN'T MENTION HOLY CROSS. You recommend it even when it BLATANTLY doesn't fit any of the person's criteria!

haha yeah i clicked on the posts! thats so true! LOL alumni maybe? ;)

haha ive been noticing taht since i started posting here....its a little obnoxious, especially when someone asks for something that holy cross definitely doesnt even have.
Par, while we all have our favoritce schools to "push," you might want to simmer down a bit on this bias, and actually provide some thought-out insight...just a suggestion...
