I know TCNJ and Coastal Carolina have automatic awards if you reach certain stats. However TCNJ is more for NJ kids.

TCNJ has cut its merit program. However, Rutgers has a nice little chart of merit aid for instaters

I think UPitt gives aid for those who score higher than a 1350 (math/verbal) but I can't confirm that.

Missouri State University-Springfield, MO has several, your son would probably qualify for the Board of Governors-full tuition for up to 32 hr/yr, out of state fees waived, renewable with 3.5 gpa

University of Missouri-Rolla has different levels of automatic merit scholarships plus the opportunity to try for the Chancellors which cover almost everything (but not quite).

PiMom the full ride tuition on Missouri State University is given out to 40 new students so it is not guaranteed but would have a good shot.

ttaillon yes the presidents is given to only 40 and is tuition and room and board, but the Governor's is given to an unlimited number and pays tuition only, for a year at MSU.

Whitworth College

Varies by GPA and SAT/ACT scores: $6,000/year to $12,000/year

Sorry, PiMom, I misread your post, thought you were talking full ride. My son qualified for full tuition at MSU but did not apply for full ride, as he had already decided on Rolla.

lets see: rice, florida, baylor, some UC's...

I believe that Villa Julie and Washington College (in MD) do.
