What schools do you think that would be good for me in California?..other than the CSUs and the UCs...bc I am already applying to those...more like USD..and ones like those..I will be majoring in the sciences b/c I hope to become a pediatrican.
Thank You!

Schools that would fit your stats are some listed already: Santa Clara, Loyola Marymount, USF, and some more: University of the Pacific, University of Redlands, Occidental College – reach, Pitzer College (test optional) – reach, Westmont College (Christian conservative), maybe Cal Lutheran.

If you are successful in raising your ACT to 29, then two reaches can be added in: Claremont McKenna and Scripps.

but UCSF has a great pediatrics program in nor cal

???

UCSF doesn’t have undergrads, does it?

Dunnin has a great list.

*Is cost an issue? There are many privates but they will cost a lot more than a UC. *

*well lets just say no…which school would then be good? *

Are you guessing that or have your parents said that they will pay $50k per year for the school of your choice? At this late of time in the admissions process, it’s important to be certain of your financial situation.

If you are certain that your parents will pay $50k per year for whatever school you go to, then great. If you’re not sure, ask them.

If you plan on going to med school, then really any good school can prepare you for that.
