Which schools need 3 SAT II's?

I know Harvard, Princeton do.. any others?

georgetown, im pretty sure.

actually princeton doesn't require 3 sat ii's. if you took the act and submit your score for it they require 0 sat ii's.

Above appears wrong as Princeton's admission site clearly states that 3 sat II's are also required with ACT

Yup. From their admissions' website:

Required Tests

When applying for admission to Princeton, you must submit official scores for either the SAT Reasoning Test or the ACT. All applicants must also take three SAT Subject Tests.

If you intend to study engineering (B.S.E.), your three SAT Subject Tests should include one test in either physics or chemistry, one test in either Level I or Level II mathematics and a third subject test of your choice.

If you choose to take more than three subject tests, we will consider all your scores, giving the greatest weight to your three strongest scores.

Georgetown definitely does.

about harvard, if you don't take 3 SAT IIs, is your app not considered?
because thise one girl stubbrnly refused the idea, and I am up against her for admissions, crazy I know

Harvard also has a similar statement as Princeton

I believe it's Harvard, Princeton, and Georgetown. Plenty of other colleges look for two.

@ akahmed,

I faced the same dilemma. I decided to apply to Harvard after the sign up date for today's SAT. When i spoke to the people in admissions they said that they would consider you application but you would be put at a disadvantage; kind of like starting out with one strike against you. They said they wouldn't reject you outright, but it'd be best if you just did the test. So i decided just to take the third one today since i only had to pay the late fee (fee waivers are great! lol)

Thanks for the reply akybaky

I got all my three in as of now, but what I meant was a girl in my class also applying to Harvard has not done any, and stubbornly keeps believing the ACT will cut it...

o0o I see. I dunno about that lol. But I like to believe if someone applied then they have a chance. I figure they'll read the application at least once :-D. Now whether thats a good chance or not ehh....

What was her score?

This reminds me of a thread I opened a while ago:

<a href="http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/sat-act-tests-test-preparation/389820-refusing-take-standardized-admission-tests.html?highlight=Refusing%5B/url%5D">http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/sat-act-tests-test-preparation/389820-refusing-take-standardized-admission-tests.html?highlight=Refusing</a></p>

Oh yes tokenadult, thanks for bringing that up, I remember it :)

Her ACT score was around a 32 or 33, I forgot, but thats all the standardized testing she did.

I don't know why she wouldn't listen to me, I told her a month ago, she still could have done something but she was pretty sure she was right.

weird
