OK. I have a BS in Political Science. Any school can get you the education. What exactly do you think you are going to do with a degree in Poli-Sci? Run for office? Work in government? Law School? It really makes a difference what your goals are as to which school would be best. No so much for the nuance of the degree, but in terms of focus and access to people in the field for which you intend to apply your knowledge.
Wisconsin’s Poli Sci dept is ranked in the top 15 of graduate school rankings, and the university is located in the state capitol so there are lots of internship opportunities. My kid is a major there, and has had superb access to top faculty, internships, funding, and research opportunities (we are out of state).
GW and American are both known as being strong in poli sci/international affairs/government internship opportunities because of the access to DC.
From your list… I would recommend the University of Maryland, American University or George Washington University.
You may also want to look at FSU or UNC.
And - if your stats and/or budget (or F.A. scenario) may allow it… you might also want to consider Georgetown, Johns Hopkins (especially for International Relations), Brown, USC, Northwestern, Princeton, Duke, Yale, Stanford, UChicago or Columbia.
I intend to major in political science or POSSIBLY international studies and later on go to law school. Out of state public college tuition is the maximum I can afford, so Georgetown and those schools are out. I also definitely can not get into GU or that level of schools.
