I am one of those who sucked my writing part.

But I have an OK score on CR+M

So..

Which schools say they only look at CR+M?

So..

Which schools say they only look at CR+M?

I know Georgetown unfortunately does…

OK.
But what about other schools, Liberal Arts College?

Even if a school has not used writing in the past, they may change. The writing section is relatively new and as schools accumulate data they may start using it for admissions purposes.

I think because US News still uses CR + math that is still the most important score. I did see a list somewhere on CC ranging from schools that don’t consider the writing at all to those that consider it, but I don’t think anyone considers it to have equal importance.

I know for a fact that Johns Hopkins only looks at CR + Math and from what I understood at the information session, they don’t care about writing at all, at most they will just glimpse at your writing section score.

If you have specific schools that you are wondering about, like certain LACs, then it’ll probably say on there website

The College Board is trying to promote that the writing section is the most predictive of college success but many schools are waiting to accumulate several years of data for their own school. Don’t let a bad writing score scare you off, apply to ones that you fit based on V & M

UChicago, I believe.

^ U Chicago definitely does, they visited my school yesterday and the lady specifically mentioned that

Cornell does.

That’s helpful. I am really frustrated by everyone’s great score.
Stressed as an international.
