<p>how can you say stuff like that when 99% of berkeley's students are in the top 10% of their high school class? it seems to be to be very obvious that berkeley cares first about class rank.</p>

<p>I've only read two pages. In response to norcalguy's predicament, I've heard that UCLA puts more emphasis on EC's than other UC's. I know many though that got into Berkeley that did not get into UCLA.</p>
