hahah yeah, don't get me started about ucf. i couldn't care less about their golden rules.

Loyola of Maryland and Wash U

I requested stuff from Wake forest like 20 times but they dont send me anything...grrr

Reed has sent me a phenomenal number of things.

Wash U--I hope someone in Admissions there sees this thread and STOPS SENDING ALL THE MAIL.

All the crap Wash U sent me in the mail turned me off from applying there.

I'd think all those publications/mailing cost WUSTL a lot of money. Now you see what money can buy!

WOW...definitely Washington University in St. Louis...but seriously, I think that all the mail they are sending people is actually decreasing the amount of applications they get because obviously we are all annoyed!
Also...NYU and U of Chicago send a lot...but not nearly as much as WUSTL.

washington univ in st.louis

Mail? WUSTL. E-mail? Central Florida!!!! Go figure!

I've got a Tulane story.

All through the spring/fall/winter application season, Tulane sent me nearly weekly mailings, including their VIP app, etc. Somehow they also got my email address and decided that email would be another great way to solicit an application. I never applied, yet in the spring, I recieved a letter from Tulane. They said that they were sorry to say that since they had never recieved my SAT scores or recommendations, I was being denied admission. Guess it didn't matter that I'd never submitted an essay or an APPLICATION.

They're crazy...

that could possibly be fraudulent..they could have used the numbers of "fake" applications to bump up their stats...higher their acceptance rates, yield etc. haha someone should look into that.

AHhhh University of Chicago...it's insane the things they send. They're mailings are all "cool" looking though...probably to keep away their crazy academic sutdy-loving reputation. Kindof flattering I guess though, since I'm not really "Chicago" material lol

Harvard

Texas A&M

UT- Austin

Nothing from WashU, but I guess thats a good thing.

U of Miami, They keep sending me applications even though I'm a year away from that process.

MIT, No idea why they keep sending me information session requests, etc.

Starngely I've only received two articles of mail from Wash U and Tulane so I guess this spot goes to Yale.

i dont get ANY MAIL From colleges@!!!!!

unless i request it...

(upenn hehe)

and then like, 3-4 more colleges

maybe i told them not to send me anything in collegeboard SAT or something?...

army, navy, airforce. yeah the military wants me and i am an unathletic, academically-oriented girl. they call me like every week and i have to turn them down every single time. geezz.

The top 10 so far:

Washington-St. Louis (33)

NYU (15)

Tulane (10)

4t. Miami of Ohio (5)
4t. Evansville (5)

6t. Chicago (4)
6t. Boston U (4)
6t. Central Florida (4)

9t. Bucknell (3)
9t. Reed (3)

SWARTHMORE! SO much stuff from them, it's ridiculous.

And NYU to a lesser extent.

Okay. What did WashU send to some of you? I am just curious. In my days (not that long ago actually :P), most colleges sent only 1 package (including the application form). I just wonder how can a school send like 33 mails to one person? Is there really that much to say about a school??

Are you getting the 33 from my 'Top 10' post? That's how many people in this thread listed WUSTL in their list of schools that send them the most mail, not how many things I've received from WUSTL.

I've probably received around 25 things from WUSTL over the last 18 months. Applications, invitations to special events at the school, coursebooks, financial aid packets, info packets about the school, etc. They all pretty much say the same thing.
