That's interesting that schools of pretty good prestige still send out mail.

Is it to inflate (deflate) the admit rate?

I get the same email from UCF almost every day. I get mail from WUSTL and University of Evansville a lot.

University of South FLorida has sent several pieces - I can't imagine why. We live in MA, would never consider a school down there.
American University, which we have visited, keeps sending inivitations to visit.

sigh such a waste of paper and money

but

WashU
UCF
a bunch of other colleges that I don't even remember anymore because I just started taking the mail and throwing it out without even opening the envelopes

and recently MIT has sent me a "RSVP requested" thing every single day.

Washington University IN ****ining st louis

WUSTL 10x more than anybody else--
Lehigh

Swarthmore has sent me the most - UMBC second most.

i get tons from vocational and techincal colleges.. lol... devry/bryman. ittech... straight to the trash. never any more than 2 from acutal colleges... my psat sucked. haha even now i get them -_-

Lots from NYU and USC. Stuff from Harvard, Boulder, MIT and Columbia and then random other smaller schools.

SMU....I HATE YOU SMU

They send like 1-3 things in the mail every week.....and 3 emails a week with the same crap... "come visit"..."we are the best"

shut up...i hate you

good school....annoy as heck

In general, the ivy league really does not send much out unless you requested it online or at a campus visit. I think I got a postcard from Yale but I had to request my other Ivy stuff.

Tulane- i get something like every freaking day. And the University of Evansville- I'd never heard of it until i started getting tons and tons of mail from them

The only one that stands out for me is Knox. They have called my house four times within the past two weeks. Haven't answered it since I saw who it was on caller ID. Think they would have gotten the clue by now...

University of Evansville, Baylor University, and Kenyon. Oh lord, so much mail.

Again on WashU. They even send me minority info- and I'm not from a minority.
Beyond that, Reed and Northwestern are big time spammers.

WashU, and Miami(OH).... But WashU is like 20times more then Miami.

What about Grinnell? I get more from them that WUSTL, and you guys know WUSTL's method of mailing.

I wonder how much it costs them.

Does it really have to do with your PSAT scores at all??
My psat scores really SUCKED and I got a lot from washu too
Also from Cal tech, MIT, Evansville, and Yale.

I'm just guessing that they are just sending packages randomly??

Guilford college......they seem to never gave up......senting me a nice package every now and then.....their poster is quite colorful....

WUSTL wins by a landslide.

College would probably cost a lot less if the poor students didn't have to fund all of the superfluous mailings (except for public schools, that usually get free use of the USPS due to their "non-profit gov't. org" status, that DON'T inundate you with letters). Since when is college recruitment a business? LAME.

I have also gotten 20+ things from Yale, but I won't complain about that one :)
