Which schools should I apply to in CA or out of state?

I used to attend Cal Poly Pomona, but I was academically disqualified and left me unable to reapply to the school.

After 6 years, I enrolled in a CC and earned a 3.2 GPA so far. I'm interested in Computer Science/Computer Engineering/Civil Engineering and Ive taken a majority of the classes listed on assist.org for all three majors except for the 2 computer classes i need for computer science/computer engineering.

Which schools should I apply to for fall 2013? I'm a CA resident, but I'm willing to apply to out of state college/private schools.

Can you afford OOS/private schools? Your best bet is to talk to the GCs at your CC to see where they recommend based on your grades and degree. They should have a great deal of historical info for you.

SJSU published its Fall 2012 transfer GPA thresholds here:
[SJSU Admission](http://info.sjsu.edu/web-dbgen/narr/admission/rec-1013.html)

Civil engineering: 3.30
Computer engineering: 2.40
Computer science: 3.20
Software engineering: 2.40

Of course, the thresholds can change for the next admission cycle (the Fall 2012 thresholds are mostly higher than the Fall 2011 thresholds were).

You may also want to include some less impacted campuses for your major in your application list.

Of course, check the net price calculator at each school’s web site for cost and financial aid information.

will do. thanks for both of your advice.
